Austin, TX - Any Game!

Gamer Connection

Hey there, folks.

My wife and I recently moved to Austin, and it seems like a town like this has -got- to have a decent gaming community! Looking for any RPG groups in the area open to new players. Got to be some out there!

I know of a Bunch of PFS Games, also PFS in San Antonio if you are in South Austin.

North Austin, more's the pity.

I saw that there's a PFS group at the Dragon's Lair, but it seems completely full for the foreseeable future. I've always never played in a PFS campaign before, and shoving some poor level 1 into a steady group like that might be difficult. Any others that might be less full that you know of?

We hav a PFS group meeting at sneeky games in north Austin. Also the dragons lair group is very new, most of the players only have one character lvl2 at most. We're only alowed to reserve 4 tables till they move to a bigger location. But if your free on a Monday come on by and say hi, we have had no shows before and we might be able to find you a spot.

The Sneaky Games one has plenty of room, and that is the one the Venture Captain of Austin Organizes.

They would be able to easily fit a Level 1 in.

You can contact him at texasvcwoodfin(at)gmail(dot)com

Also they have a Yahoo group here

Would you and your wife be interested in Mutants & Masterminds at all?

CF, what would I need to get into that game?

Actually PFS is one of the best environments to slide a new character into the campaign due to the episodic structure. It also supports intermittent play, as missing a game here or there really doesn't harm the rest of the group.

Quite possibly, CF! I've played M&M before, and she has briefly. :)

You would be welcome.

Excellent. I will drop you a PM.

If anyone is still looking for a player I'm in need of a game... I have a group in Houston, but they only meet once a month and I would like to find something closer to home. Also, the PFS is not really into my playing style. I like a more firm group, and to be able to build a character within that group. Been trying to find a group in Austin for a while, but I'm not a DM... Could probably host at my place. Let me know!

CF, any idea when you might be playing, and would you have room for someone who's never played Mutants & Masterminds before? Actually, I've never played a supers game at all, but I've always wanted to. I live in North Austin and have reliable transportation and so forth.

Are yall still looking for gamers for Pf or M&M?
