Hiding Avatars

Is there a way to auto-hide all avatars? I know some messageboards have this ability.

Not currently. Someday we might make a widget or something that lets you customize how the messageboards are displayed. I think people who want to do this sort of thing right now are using things like Greasemonkey scripts or custom CSS.

What about uploading your own avatar?

Due to copyright implications, we do not allow users to upload their own at this time. However, we have a pretty large variety of avatars to choose from.

In the meantime, you could set your browser to not display images from paizo.com.
