Rules Questions

So I have used a "tool" for character generation for years, way too many in fact.

I still use one, but I really want to get a better handle on the math on my own so I can do it by hand.

Thee should be no reason I can't easily add a magic weapon to my sheet without bad math.

So, as an example:

I have a mace 1d6, my BAB is +2, my STR gives me +3, so my atk is +5 and my dmg 1d6+3, correct?

I get a masterwork mace, 1d6, BAB +2, STR +3, my atk remains +5, but my dmg is now 1d6+4 correct?

Magic bonus usually apply to atk and dmg correct?

All magic weapons are also masterwork, so a +1 masterwork mace 1d6, BAB +2, STR +3, my atk is +6, and my dmg is 1d6+5?

Does the +1 masterwork bonus and the +1 magic bonus stack, or does the +1 magic only bring the atk up?

Yes.

No. Masterworks enchantment bonus applies to the to hit roll only.

A masterwork weapon is a finely crafted version of a normal weapon. Wielding it provides a +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls.

Yes.

+6 to hit +4 to damage.

They do not stack. But you get the +1 to hit and damage.

Ack, I had that backwards then, I knew it only applied to one side of the weapon, I thought it was dmg.

So my masterwork example would be +6 atk, and 1d6+3 dmg still.

OK, so while MW does give a +1 hit, the moment it becomes magic +1, it simply evens out both sides. I'd need to wait till I get a +2 magic item to see both go up another point.

My masterwork magic +1 would then be +6 atk, 1d6+4

On armor, this is similar?

Masterwork armor gets a +1 to AC, magic +1 armor (also masterwork) gets no additional AC bonus till you get +2 magic.

Nope. Masterwork armor lessens your Armor Check Penalty by 1, nothing more (which makes masterwork Leather Armor pretty much useless, for example).

To get better AC, you'll actually need magic armor (which, being masterwork as well, will also give you the lessened ACP in addition to better AC).

OK, yes. I recall seeing this. Thanks for the clarification.
