So I'm an avid D&D player, starting with the original Basic box. Enjoy "most" versions including the original Pathfinder. I'm actually VERY fond of Iron Kingdoms, not only as a v3.5 OGL, but the latest d6 configuration as well. Starfinder is a new thing for me. I like it, but I'm not quite finding the love I do with other systems.
We like our games with lots of story, memorable moments, role-play and combat BUT we don't want 3+ hour battles. We like it when the same 1st level monsters at level 1, can still kill you in a larger group at level 10. Sadly, most of the games these days make goblins something you only see as you're learning the ropes!
