I'm lining up/working with someone I know to at least get a consult on the side because yes, this isn't the first time something has seemed 'off'.
*fingers crossed on that*
So I'm reading the Clarifications (for PFS) and the Additional Resources, and it looks like anyone could be a Sister-In-Arms.

Doing alright. I have the morning shift on Mondays right now. Have to wake up at Oh-my-God-it's-early-and-the-Sun-isn't-even-out-yet. A.K.A 3:00 AM. Brewed my first pot of tea, so that's helping me stay awake. There's a good part to this new schedule, though. My Fridays are completely free. So I really shouldn't complain, right?

Wei Ji:
It's fairly common for dentists to point out that, hey, if it's covered by your insurance, you should get things done before end of year before it expires. It's generally beneficial for both of you-- you get to get the most out of your insurance, they get to get paid for it.
That said, it's definitely weird that they didn't mention it before?

Love the avatar, not least because I’m not sure how I’d pronounce Saturnalialemental. I’d probably make the “i” a semi-vowel, for that decadent aristocratic Roman drawl. ;)
This year I’m actually going to make it home in time for the Saturnalia, which is nice. Depending on how this week goes, I might need to bring some work with me, but I should have everything wrapped up by next Monday, barring disasters. I hope everyone else’s week, students’ and otherwise, goes well as we hurtle towards the end of the year.

Wow, I missed a lot! Had some sudden computer issues the week before last and only just got it back today. My support to those having problems, and my congrats to those living well.
I actually have a life update, and it's positive! I went on my first first date yesterday. We got lunch at a lovely Chinese place, then went shopping. Had some really nice, deep conversations and learned a lot about each other. And he kissed me goodbye but said he'd see me again...
I'm still walking on air, to say the least.
Also I got the Starfinder Core book, so if anyone wants to gab with me about that feel free.

Oh, yeah! I played starfinder for the 1st time last weekend. The starship combat was pretty funny, because none of us knew what we were doing, and used rather sub-par tactics. "Okay, now it's your turn to figure out how to play!"

Woke up with cruds.
People don't understand we need humidity in the house, despite my mentioning it a *week* ago.
...hope everyone else's morning is going better!
EDIT: Humidifier discovered in basement, cleaned, activated. *fingers crossed/hopeful thoughts*
May everyone have a great morning!

I just finished my first semester towards my PharmD, so 1/8 of the way done. Feeling accomplished and now I get to enjoy some time off before it starts back up next year. Time to go crazy with Xmas decorations and panic over what to get family for presents (not that I'll be getting much given my state of voluntary poverty for the next few years).
:)

@Rysky
Me too. I went to bed last night before the returns started, and refused to even look at my Feedly when I woke up during the night.
Onward! Forward! And why don't some of you lovely folks consider running for office yourselves, eh?
If you want decent candidates in the state-wide elections, we need decent people to run for lower level offices.
Feel free to PM me if you want to hear my tales of being on our city council.

Just had a wonderful weekend with 250 LGBTQ+ educators and allies in San Jose., CA. I am so proud and excited that in spite of all the turmoil regarding community rights and procedures, I have to say that California is doing it right. The rules and regulations to support and protect our LGBTQ+ students and staff are firmly embedded in State law, and the support mechanisms are being built and enforced throughout districts in the state. Even in rural conservative areas of the state, the CTA (California Teachers Union)is strongly working to ensure that they are implemented, supporting our fellow teachers, staff and students who are coming out and/or going through transitions.
This is such a change from 30 years ago when I went through my own transition, and I wondered if I would ever work again in a technical field or be able to rent or own a home, or have a spouse.
My students know are so blaze about so many of the issues that I was scared to death about.
I am glad that many of these support structures are in place for our new generation, and I believe that in spite of the attack from the Federal Executive level of government, I believe that we shall stand and overcome.
Part of why, maybe I am optimistic today was to see that even in as conservative state as Alabama, where I went to Jr High and much of High School, that change can happen, and we can resist and overcome.

*returns safety-hugs from bio-enclosure* The cruds are getting me! Bleh.
Anyone have any homeopathic ideas for nasal congestion? Hot tea, staying hydrated, and hot peppers have only helped a little bit.
I can't take Mucinex or most cough/cold items because I get the side-effects from them and none of the *actual effects*.
