Cool idea. I don't have an answer but I wanted to point you to similar option for in case you utilize the backwards compatibility of Pathfinder with the 3.5 system. The item was printed in 2 books, the Magic Item Compendium and one of the Eberron books. I did a quick search of my home and google but could not find the name of the item. Maybe someone else here will recall and state the name. A neck slot item that let you 3 times a day, cast an empowered spell. Three of them existed, each priced differently for various levels of spells. I loved using the cheap one for $1,500 on my level 1-3 spells through an arcane channel of the duskblade 3.5 class. I think activating it was incorporated as part of the action to cast the spell or maybe it was a swift action. I think each necklace had to be keyed to a particular spell. A meta magic rod can work on any spell within it's spell range but the neclace is half the cost and frees up your hand. Otherwise, haveing a hand on all three of these: rod, weapon, free hand to cast, is tough. Stuff like quick draw or the extra hands of an alchemist or summoner can accomplish such but those options are costly in their own right. Check with your DM if they would agree it can be used with arcane channeling or spell strike.

Just rereadthe spell and you are right LazarX. Its a cool idea but won't work with Weapon Wand Sell. Do you think it would be unbalancing
to add a 3rd level spell Weapon Rod same as Weapon Wand with the exception the spell ceates a extrademisonal space within the target weapon that allows the Rod to function as it was held by the wielder of the weapon?
