Evil Organizations?

Besides the Aspis Consortium, are there any others?

Red Mantis Cult. Various other cults of evil beings. Followers of the Dark tapestry. Whispering Way. The government of Cheliax and all its apparatus. Pirate Council. Even elements of the Pathfinders. Just to name a few.

I would say that almost every product has some kind of evil organization. It just depends on what you mean by that.

The Pathfinder Society. Those thugs are constantly going around killing people and stealing artifacts that don't belong to them.

Dark Archive

Hellknights, Red Mantis Assassins, Blackfire Adepts, Coils of Ydersius, Lumber Consortium, the Old Cults, the Whispering Way, the Szcarni crime family, various Diabolist orders, etc.

Others like the Bloatmages, Darklight Sisterhood and Harbingers are dubiously neutral or amoral or following increasingly mad goals, but not specifically evil.

@Set: The Hellknights are technically LN, they just have some LE tendencies. Paladins can join the Hellknights, they just have to be SUPER LAWFUL as well as Good.

Also, the White Witches of Irrisen, the Mzali tribe in Sargava/Mwangi Expanse, the government of Nidal, just about everything in the Underdark, a good amount of thieve's guilds, gangs, assassin's guilds, and the Brotherhood of Bones.

Don't be afraid to make up your own kinds of villainous organizations either, there's always room for more evil in the world.

I actually found tons on PF wiki. Starting a new campaign. My first idea is to have the PCs be in charge of delivering a baby to an orphanage, but the baby is actually very important somehow (next heir to throne, the prodigy that will destroy a cult, a god, haven't really decided) and the PCs are hounded the entire campaign by some cult wanting to destroy the child. Any suggestions?

I actually have a friend who plays a Chelaxian Paladin of Aroden in Pathfinder Society who is also a Hellknight. It's an interesting combination.

Cults are good, especially of the major gods. How about this: the child is blessed by the goddess Shelyn and is supposed to become a fountain of love and beauty. The faithful of Zon-Kuthon, on orders from the high priests in Nidal, have ordered the child's death. You can have your PC's pursued from Nirmathas to Varisia. The Kuthites will send clerics, inquisitors, kytons, assassins, vampires, and shadowy fiends after the PC's before having a final showdown in a mountain pass near the city of Korvosa.

Omg. That is excellent! Thank you!

What this thread has demonstrated is just the sheer number of evil organizations on Golarion. Gods, if i lived there I'd never go outside...except Derros can climb in through the basement...oh god...no escape

Heh. :)

There are probably fewer Good organizations, but they're (as a rule) somewhat larger, so it's not as bad as all that.

Erm... Isn't Aroden kind of dead?

Pick your favorite response:

1. Don't try to tell her that.
2. Nah... he's just resting.
3. Unlike clerics, paladins don't need to get their spells from a specific deity directly, so a paladin to a dead/nonexistent god is a possibility.

Don't forget... for this Paladin in particular it would be "Nah.. she's just resting."

Still your slanderous tongue. The Hellknight Orders are forces of evil only in the gutless propaganda of Andoran scum and limp-wristed Taldan courtiers. I would have expected more even-minded musings from a scholar such as yourself.
