So I'm curious, whatever happened to this? I think this monk fix is one of my favorites both in flavor and power. And I'd like to playtest it when I run RotRL:AE (Granted that won't be for about a year...)
Ashiel did you ever get anything done on that pdf? I'm curious to see if you or anyone else found any better ways of working psionics into the class.
If I decide not to just go with the original build (3.5 + Psionics) I'll likely drop a few of the redundant Pathfinder Monk abilities and give them Psionic feats as suggested. (What about allowing a few extra first or second "level" psionic [spells?]?) I'll have to talk to my players about which Flurry they prefer though. XD
Also any word on the power level of this? I'm not terribly good at eyeballing powers, but I'm not seeing much reason as to why you'd play a regular Psionic Warrior with something like this. But I'm probably mistaken.

Glad this thread is still alive.
Hmmm......
This was a triumph.
I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Homebrew Mad Science!
We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Well, just the ones on this thread.
But there's no sense crying over those you can't please.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cheese.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat monk.
For the people who are still alive.
Now these points of data make a beautiful line.
And we used psionics.
And I guess they work fine.
Even though the thread burned.
Think of all the things we learned
for the people who are still alive.
Go ahead and leave me.
I think I prefer to stay inside.
Maybe you'll find something else to help you.
Maybe Eratta.
THAT WAS A JOKE.
HAHA. FAT CHANCE.
Anyway, this monk is great.
It's so adaptive and fun.
Look at me still talking
when there's Science to do.
When I look at Core, it makes me GLaD I Home-Brew.
I've experiments to run.
There is stat-blocks to be done.
For the people who are still alive.
And believe me I am still alive.
I'm doing Science and I'm still alive.
I'm leaving comments and I'm still alive.
I feel FANTASTIC this thread's still alive.
STILL ALIVE!!
STILL ALIVE!!...

My group still uses the psychic warrior even after this. While it's pretty much superior to the psychic warrior from 3.5 in the sense that the 3.5 psychic warrior didn't really get much beyond their powers, the Pathfinder Psychic Warrior has things that are nice for them outside their power selection (PF Psychic Warrior).
The psychic warrior has a few other things going for it that's not readily apparent as well. For one their weapon and armor proficiencies are better and with the exception of certain paths don't have to worry about being in light or no armor for their abilities to function. Likewise the ability to wear heavy armors allows for psychic warriors to focus their powers elsewhere. Psychic warrior bonus feats can be taken from both any combat feat they qualify for (rather than a specific pool as in the case of the psionic monk) and they treat their BAB as being equal to their class level for the purposes of meeting prerequisites on psionic feats (which means they can gain access to a number of psionic feats the fastest).
Psychic warriors also tend to have expanded options in the form of prestige classes (there are several that offer them some nice options while continuing to advance their manifesting) while psychic monks are much like normal monks. Many of their class features are based on their class level (while it can still make for a solid dip class, you lose out on a lot on the potency of your flurry and/or unarmed/monk bonuses). While not technically a feature of the psychic warrior class in writing it is a plus for the class if you want to do certain things (taking a few levels of war mind will get you to the 16+ BAB to get 4/round attacks at the loss of skill points and bit of path power).
During one of my playtests with my brother and a friend of his, my brother was playing the psionic monk and his friend was playing a psychic warrior. Both held their own quite nicely (his friend did take some serious hurt from a young white dragon in the module I was running for them, though she also excelled more during certain encounters).
