1) they both use art from pathfinder products
2) they aren't branded as gamemastery
3) the tokens are based off of specfic patfinder suscription books and the minis after heros and monsters seem to be the same
4) there are examples of monsters introduced just for pathfinder
That's what I can think of in under 10 seconds...

Yeah. My question is why?
The cards use art from pathfinder products too (for example) so keeping the two lines distinct doesn't seem a big concern. The chase cards feature pathfinder rules. The harrow deck is from pathfinder. The flip mats and map packs often feature in their pathfinder products.

I figure they could be named whatever paizo and wizkids agreed. (They're listed as pathfinder minis after all, despite being a third party product).
I remember thinking it odd that all these new product lines were coming out under the pathfinder brand when it seemed a more natural fit with the gamemastery stuff. Now it seems to me it was just an evolution as they began dropping the gamemastery name and leveraging the pathfinder brand more widely.
