Dismissing an Eidolon

Rules Questions

What kind of action is dismissing your Eidilon? Is this possible? Free action, standard action?

Thanks!

The rules don't say, but most special abilities use a standard action.

Thanks. I checked the PRD, and did not see the standard action.

Yep. Totally a standard action. I know cause I do it ALL the time. :)

My poor players, they been using it as a free action all this time. <Insert random evil cackling>

Depends on the method.

If not defined otherwise, all actions take a standard action to do.

That's not true. There is no blanket statement anywhere saying anything of the sort.

There are, however, less encompassing statements like "all supernatural abilities take a standard action to activate unless otherwise stated."
