Good afternoon guys. New to Pathfinder and have just ordered my BB.

Beginner Box

Hey,

I have just ordered the BB and am looking forward to jumping in. I have a group of friends ready to play. We used to play AD&D up until 3rd edition before life got in the way. Looking to host a monthly session now first using the BB and then moving up to the full rule set.

Couple of questions though:

I am in the UK and aside from the limited selection on Amazon I am struggling to find places to buy PF products. Any intel on this?

Also is there an expected date on that Rise of the Runelords hard bound book and the pawn pack? Really interested in those but can't find any where to pre order them in the uk

Thanks :)

Have you tried the Orc's Nest? You can also order direct from paizo if you want to - they ship to the UK (and pretty much everywhere else too).

You can get pathfinder stuff right from this website. If you become a subscriber to a particular product line you'll even get discounts, early releases(not really sure it would be early in the UK), and free pdf's of all the products in that line.

Raise of the Runelords is set to hit in June at Paizocon and I'm not sure when the pawn pack will release but I would assume around the same time.

Me too. There is a thread on the boards somewhere for UK people to say hi.

Amazon can be fickle with roleplay stuff. I ordered 3 beginners boxes well in advance and they just kept pushing out the delivery date by months after it was released. They had also stopped taking orders for it at that point. I've had them do the same with stuff by other publishers.

I subscribe, and what I save in discount and exchange rate pays for shipping - almost exactly. Non-book items (flip mats, cards, etc.) attract VAT at 20% plus £8 from the post office for the pleasure of collecting the VAT! This only happens above a certain price threshold though (£14?) so you can sneak one other item into an order without getting hit. Paizo kindly (and correctly) mark adventure paths and modules as books, so they are zero rated for VAT.

Leisure Games and Orcs Nest are both fantastic places to deal with and they are where I get all of my stuff that I don't order from Paizo.

I'm in the UK, too, and can recommend Games Lore - they're very helpful, good value, and send out an email update on new products.
