I certainly hope not. That would be seriously broken.

My synthesist summoner is gonna take a 4 level dip in fighter or barbarian maybe, and not lose any eidolon abilities.Chengar Qordath wrote:i believe SKR said the RAI of boon companion should include eidolonsCptTylorX wrote:So do you think Boon Companion would work then Mergy?Boon Companion is very specific about what it works on, and Eidolons aren't on the list.
This clarification actually decidedly says it does NOT count: Josh's clarification
(Josh Frost is the writer of the feat in question, just so everyone is aware.)

So, without the editorial/commentary regarding my inference... you're basic answer is... "RAW".
Guess I was hoping for a discussion. Exchange of ideas, viewpoints, exploration, reasoning, etc...
Thanks!
If you want answers to rules questions, post in rules questions. If you want general discussion, there's a forum for that to. Ditto for home brew / house rules. But no amount of discussion will change how the rules will and will not work nor will it make house rules the official rules of the game.

The synthesist also gains access to the eidolon’s special abilities and the eidolon’s evolutions...
So, does that include Evasion at 2nd level???
I actually have a question that goes with this.
So as you level and gain the evolutions does the eidolon gain them or the summoner? What I mean by this is do you only have these evolutions when the eidolon is summoned or at all times?
Another question I have is how Magic items work with the eidolon. If its a stat increasing Item, like a +2 str item, does it increase my str without the eidolon summoned and then when you summon it does it add to its str aswell?
If it has to be equipped on the eidolon do these items disappear when the eidolon gets unsummoned?

Read the FAQ on the synthesist most of your questions were addressed.
1) You only have access to evolutions when your eidolon is out, unless you gain it via aspect.
2) It works as if you and the eidolon are one entity, a +2 str belt will still give you +2 str after you merge.
3) Not necessary since your items still function after summoning the eidolon.
