Summoner Questions regarding the Eidolon

Rules Questions

If this has been covered elsewhere then I apologize ahead of time but I cannot find an answer? Does the summoner have to command his Eidolon to fight or does it get its own actions. I wasn't sure if the Summoner can take all of his actions in a round as well as the Eidolon.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes, he does get his own actions. The Eidolon and Summoner might even possibly go on seperate initiatives (i am only familiar with the synthesist archaetype, clafification would be helpful). In other news this is what makes the Master Summoner a one-man army. In other other news why does this have to be a summoner thread? why can't we discuss letting hamburgers restore 1D3 hit points when eaten?

Edit'd for clarity

The eidolon has its own actions. Communication between the summoner and the eidolon is telepathic. The summoner does not have to use any expensive actions to command the eidolon to do things, only a free action as if speaking.

Thanks for the response and clarification!
