Well Met! I just recently purchased a Beginner Box and am eager to begin playing. Problem is after asking around no one I know is interested in learning to play. Which leads me to this board. Would anyone be willing to bring a new player into a campaign? I am eager and excited and will gladly do any reading or footwork required. Thanks to all who reply!

I can try opening a recruitment thread, once there it can be decided whether we are going to run a short module (maybe better with a new player) or an AP.
@Verisim,just to know,do you have a preferred play style/type of role/character ?
Also,it is usually better to decide what to play and ask the GM char creation rules, not always chars standing by are suitable for the module/campaign about to start.Sometime maybe just a matter of levelling the char up/down a bit, sometime that role may have already been taken and so on.
but these matters will be discussed when they are an issue so don't worry for now.

Gandal -I am not knowladgeable on the play stlys yet to realy say I prefer one over the other. As I know every adventuring group could use a healer I am more than willing to play a cleric or some other healing motif. I am flexable and basicaly just trying to find a inn or nitch where I can learn and grow as a player.
Taanyth Tuilinn - I have posted on a few open recruitments but my posts seem to have been largely ignored. I fear I am perhaps doing something wrong. I would love to play either a short or long game, as I do have time daily to devote to it.

Don't worry too much about your posts being ignored. Most GMs leave their recruitment threads open for a week or two before making their selections. It does help to post a character or character concept in addition to a basic "I'm interested in this game" post.

Hello all,i did faster than i thought.
Seems like there is enough interests to run at least a module, will link a true recruitment thread in about a day, than we'll discuss what we want to run.
Last year i lost two groups out of RL commitments, mine or theirs.
Hope this time will be different, this is another reason i would like to try with a short adventure first.

I'd be interested in joining a game, should someone choose to run one. Would love to do a full AP (any of them) but don't mind a "light" session. Never PbP'd before but have played D&D/PF for some time.
I already have a character that I'd like to try. (I submitted her for a Carrion Crown AP but was ultimately unsuccessful).

Hello,and welcome MacFetus.
Since we have 4 players i'll close this recruitment.
Have a friend possibly interested in trying PbP,so in case i'll leave the 5th slot for him,but we can start with what we have.
As for what to play, here is the list of what modules and AP i have right away (in print ed. that is):
Crypt of the Everflame
Tomb of the Irom Medusa
Academy of secrets
The Harrowing
Feast of Ravenmoor
Council of Thieves-only book one
Second Darkness-all books
Serpent Skull-all books
Carrion Crown-all books
Or i can start to brush up a campaign world of mine i designed for the 3.5
Your call,as for me unless something unpredictable i'll have the time for this up to next summer, then we'll see.

I've been waiting to play Carrion Crown for a long, long time. It is, in my opinion, the perfect setting. So, that's my vote.
One thing I will point out, though, is that for us deployed folks, we may not be able to post often, and AP's are very, very long.
I love divine casters. Probably go Cleric (again), but mught go Paladin is someone wants Cleric specifically.
Character Creation Rules?

Even the Homebrew could be really cool, too. I actually, in all honesty, prefere things like that as it gives everyone a chance to both learn about the world as we go, and also contribute to it. I'm actually not a fan of Golarion, that much. Pretty much every really cool thing has been edited out because someone didn't like them.

Would having one character of each type be the best idea? Fighterish, roguish, divine and arcane?
That's one thing that PathFinder has really changed over 3E (and earlier editions of D&D, too). A lot of Classes now cover multiple "roles". For example, the Witch can be a "healer" and "Arcanist". The Summoner can be both a "Tank" and a "caster".
All in all, I've found it best for the group to build around each other, but not necisarrily in the sense of rilling all the "roles".

Evening all.
First, my time zone and posting pace: eastern Italy (adriatic coast) GMT+1
and i usually post from 9:00am till 1:00pm and from 10:00pm till 1:00am.
I'ld like to thank Beckett for his interest in my home-made campaign;for char creation rules they should depend on what we'll play.
For example,im my world races/classes allowance is restricted by the starting region/nation (yes,i'll let you choose which one,of course i'll post a description of the regions available).
For CC or SD since the chars are going to be 4 i think we can build them with 25 points and use max starting gold and 2 traits, level 1,fast XP track.
I'll soon open an OOC thread with a "generic title.
Edit:forgot to specify, actually the "25 points and use max starting gold and 2 traits, level 1,fast XP track." thing is valid in case we decide for my campaign also.

Sounds good. I don't think I've ever actually gotten the 25 Point Buy before. :)
When you say that you restrict race/classes, I assume that the basic classes are pretty much open anywhere, (Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, etc. . . maybe minus the Monk), and that you are talking about thinkg like the Gunslinger, Samurai, and Ninja?

Will answer in OOC.
