Advice on my Inquisitor

Advice

Started a new campaign last night and am looking for advice on my Inquisitor. It is a home brew world and the rest of the group consists of a Wilder, Wizard, Titan Mauler Barbarian, Magus, and my Inquisitor.

Will go ahead and warn ya now stats are high, some crazy system of rolling was used where the average comes out to 14 or so, and my stats will be on par with the rest of the group.

I want to play a melee build, with skill monkey thrown in, and am afraid that I will turn into the healer. Nothing is set in stone yet and we are starting from level 1.

Inquisitor 1 Domain:Investigation (Exploration renamed)

Human (kinda non negotiable)

Str 17
Dex 19 (racial bonus here)
Con 15
Int 15
Wis 15
Cha 13

Diety's weapon is Longsword (this is still negotiable, home brew world, Monotheists, Human saints are the patrons of the different orders and where the favored weapon come from.)

Feats:
Judgment Surge
Improved Iniative

Like I said nothing is set yet and I would love recommendations on feats, skills and stat placement. Thanks

You can't take judgment sure until you get judgment twice per day.

Ahhh, completely missed that, thanks. Any suggestions on what to take instead. Power Attack is going to be my level 3 feat for sure. Other than that I'm kinda up in the air.

If you get traits, you could take the Blade of Mercy trait and Enforcer feat and be a decent intimidator thanks to the class bonus. Alternatively go for power attack, which you probably want anyway, then Cornugon Smash at level 7.

The teamwork feats can be very useful with Solo Tactics. My favorites are Lookout and Tandem Trip. The latter is good for a tripping build if you take the Greater Trip line and Combat Reflexes; anytime another ally threatens an enemy, you get to roll 2d20 on a trip maneuver and take the higher. And with your dex, Fury's Fall would be nice, too; adds dex to CMB for tripping on top of str. If it gets to higher levels, you definitely want the charging one ("Coordinated Charge"?). Requires BAB +10 so it'll take a while to qualify, but it will basically let you charge as an immediate action anytime a nearby ally charges.

You can take Judgment Surge at 1st level, there was an errata.

Oooo, nice catch. I have a 1st level Inquisitor myself and had struggled to find a feat to take. I had been wanting that one, but didn't think it was allowed. Thanks!

I don't really see why you put your highest stat in Dex for a melee Inquisitor. I would have increased Strength instead.

In fact, I might have even switched Dex with either Con or Wis. A Dex score of 15 should still be enough for AC or Combat Expertise or whatever reason you had to choose it.

Are you going for Sword and Shield or for 2-handed weapon?

It's a shame that you are set on Race. Half-Orcs are that much better Inquisitors than humans. Keen Scent, Razortusk, +1/2 level on Intimidation and 6 different Knowledge skills. That's like 3,5 extra Skill points per level. Makes being a skill monkey that much easier.

Well stats aren't set. And I am seriously considering switching str
Dex and Wis.

And ya half-orc would be good, I am pretty well Locked into human. I plan on using a sword and buckler so I can go 2 hand or sword and shield.

Grand Lodge

Consider the Wisdom of the Flesh trait. Also, consider the Guided weapon property.

Not familiar with wisdom of the flesh but will look it up. I was considering dirty fighter and birthmark.
