Question about the Light spell

i'm playing a monk and in our party we have a cleric. what started as a joke has turned into a staple of our party and i was curious about something. the cleric once casted light on my monks bald head we had a laugh and know instead of torches we use my head. my question is if i have light casted on my head and i put on the hood of my cloak or like a hat or something does that hide the light spell? like if it was casted on my head and i decided i want to creep up on some goblins i put on my hood/hat and the light goes away but when i take it off it is still there. this is my first time playing pathfinder and my dm didn't reall know how this would go. thanks

Sure. Light makes the target glow like a torch. A cover thick and close-fitting enough to block torchlight prevents it being seen. Note, 1. that goblins can see in the dark and your character probably can't, and 2. if the GM wants to get technical, you might have to wear a skullcap or something, since the target of light is an object, not a creature.

i just threw out goblin as a random example lol and as far as the dm goes we've done it like the last few sessions and he hasn't had a problem with it but if he did either way I'd have to wear a hat either to hide the light or to turn it on so...

Light cannot be cast on creatures, only objects.
