Locate Weakness with Spellstrike?

Rules Questions

Curious if the Locate Weakness spell from Ultimate Combat works with the damage from spells channeled through a Magus' Spellstrike ability...

Looks like it does, but thought I'd check with those who have more practice as Pathfinder Rules-Fu than I...

Locate Weakness:
You can sense your foes’ weak points, granting you greater damage with critical hits. Whenever you score a critical hit, roll the attack’s damage dice (but not extra or precision damage dice) twice and take the highest result.

Spellstrike:
At 2nd level, whenever a magus casts a spell with a range of “touch” from the magus spell list, he can deliver the spell through any weapon he is wielding as part of a melee attack. Instead of the free melee touch attack normally allowed to deliver the spell, a magus can make one free melee attack with his weapon (at his highest base attack bonus) as part of casting this spell. If successful, this melee attack deals its normal damage as well as the effects of the spell. If the magus makes this attack in concert with spell combat, this melee attack takes all the penalties accrued by spell combat melee attacks. This attack uses the weapon’s critical range (20, 19–20, or 18–20 and modified by the keen weapon property or similar effects), but the spell effect only deals ×2 damage on a successful critical hit, while the weapon damage uses its own critical modifier.

Thoughts?

Would you allow a wizard to use this ability on a standard Shocking Grasp delivered via touch?

If so, then it should work when delivered via Spellstrike as well. (Also it should work on the weapon dice)

If not, then the spell kind of sucks.

To clarify, I was trying to determine what constitutes "extra damage" per the restriction of the spell to determine if spell damage would be considered "extra damage" to the normal damage of the weapon delivering the Spellstrike.

The extra damage would probably be talking about damage from weapon abilities such as flaming/shocking, anything that isn't multiplied on a crit really. So I'd rule that the damage from shocking grasp would be rolled twice
