Comment here if you can't wait for Skull & Shackles!

Jade Regent had a lot of useful material and the AP's campaign arc was a nice change, but I'm definitely ready for some nonlinear maritime shenanigans. I think this is one that I'll have to start as soon as I get the pdf - damn players and their internet access.

Started doing preliminary planning today. Very much looking forward to it.

Noticed the first and second book are coming out in April now. Long sigh.

My guess is the snow, ice, and rain Seattle has been getting hit with the last couple of weeks (with an emphasis on ice) had something to do with that.

No fun to be sure but can't be helped.

I'll be running this one after I've wrapped up Carrion Crown. But yeah, can't wait to see what's in store for us. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing which piratey NPCs I'll be throwing at my players.

Wow . . . April? So, we've only got one AP book coming out over the next two months? That weather must really be kicking the heck out of them over there!

Wish 'em the best. I know I can't wait to get my hands on this one and the one to follow!

Liberty's Edge

I can wait, but I don't really want to.

I'm actually thinking of running Skull & Shackles in space. Because while pirates are cool and all, space pirates are even cooler. Depending on what Distant Worlds has to offer, I'd either set it in Golarion's solar system, or convert it to Star Wars.

I'm hoping for Golarion. Pirate ships of undead from Eox is something I've wanted to put into a game since the first moment I read about Eox.

I don't think it's the Seattle weather, but something to do with the publisher Paizo uses. I remember Jason Nelson talking about a holiday that made publishing houses shove stuff around, but I don't remember it being this much of an issue last year.

Nonetheless the AP is on an extremely unlikely April, April, May, May, June, July schedule on the website right now. Likely to be April, May, June, July, August, with a double month tucked in somewhere there. We'll probably see Book 5 and Book 6 of Skulls and Book 1 of Shattered Star all released before Gencon.

The printer is in China, so Chinese New Year slows things down

Not for an AP volume since I started subscribing in 2009 has it impacted it this significantly.

I mean, since I started subbing (Council of Thieves #3) I've had a book a month every month, sometimes delayed by a week or two weeks but never by a month like Jade Regent #5 was. I don't remember ever having a month skipped until December, and now it's happening again in March.

Just disappointing. I'm not going to unsub, because it's impossible to find such powerful modules with such amazingly creative writers behind them anywhere else, but I can sure cross my arms and fume.

After a trio of APs of no interest to me, I've become really excited again with both the upcoming Skull & Shackles *and* Shattered Star. Toss in the updated Rise of the Runelords, and I think I'm going to hit a serious gaming budget crunch around early summer.

Whats Shattered Star?

Hope I got the name right. It's the AP after Skull & Shackles. Sounds like a big treasure-hunt AP, which I've been hoping for for some time now.
