Hi!
Have you considered this class instead of Urban Barbarian? If your DM is cool with third party classes that is...

No just Paizo products.

If you went half-orc instead of half-elf you could grab chain fighter to get spiked chain proficiency and keep Ferocity to help stop yourself from dying from dropping rage. Spiked chain isn't as good as the crit blade though, but if you are worried about your defense ... Otherwise it looks like a holy terror.

not worrying about dieing from rage. my CON doesn't get increased by Rage. unless I want it to.

Duh!!!!!

Celestial Armor, while pricey, has a max dex of 8, and would allow you to fly once a day.

That's the dream for a higher lvl

I think I'd try to get one more point of strength so you can get +3 damage from strength with a two handed weapon instead of +1. Probably by dropping charisma to 8. Actually, I'd drop it all the way to 7 and put either int or wisdom up to 12.

I Use DEX for damage not str I would drop Str and add to CHA if I could for more bonus to UMD. Stupid Power attack prerequisite.

Liberty's Edge

1) You don't need Raging Vitality with a DEX-advancing, Controlled Rage finesse build (because you don't get a CON bonus when raging).

2) Not seeing the rationale for a DR build or other obsessive fretting about defenses when your AC will be bloody awesome compared to the average barbarian.

3) You're dumping your wisdom to overly min/max your stats, then spending feats and rage powers to paper-over the deficit.

Grand Lodge

Get an Agile weapon as soon as available.

Liberty's Edge

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Note that this will also be exacerbated by using Controlled Rage rather than normal rage.

Suggestions: make an elven switch-hitter rather than a half-elf. Employ a fighting style which accommodates not needing a ton of CON (e.g., archery & Spring Attack). Even without a CON bonus, you'll have as many HP as the average d8 class with a 14CON.

STR:14
DEX+17 ...elf, 20pt initial
CON-10
INT+14
WIS:12
CHA:12

racial alternate trait: Desert Runner
character traits: Berserker of the Society, Birthmark

01 barb1 [Urban] Extra Rage
02 cler1 [Crusader][Erastil(Travel)][Weapon Focus:Longbow][Move+10], 1st
03 cava1 [Gendarme][Power Attack], Weapon Finesse
04 figh1 [Cad], DEX>18, Quick Draw
05 figh2 Point Blank Shot, Rapid Shot
06 barb2 [Uncanny Dodge][Reckless Abandon+1]
07 barb3 ...etc

The basic idea here is to be very flexible. The cleric level gives you access to all divine spells.

apg has an alternate racial for half elf so you dont burn a feat for ewp elven curved blade

Liberty's Edge

If you're a full-elf, you don't need it at all.

Sorry if I am missing something in your build but what have you chosen that makes it so your melee damage is based on Dex and not Str? With Weapon Finesse your attack is based on Dex instead of Str, but not your damage.

Unless there is something that allows you to use Dex instead of Str for melee damage and I am just not seeing it or not remembering it...

There was a weapon enchantment called agile which does this, but it does not allow you to apply 1.5x dex to two handed weapons, and it can only be placed on a weapon you may use Weapon Finesse with.

Revised build coming with Stats and gear at 15th lvl.

[here is the revised build I moved some feats and other things around I like it better now as a bonus I added the level 15 build to get a bench mark of where I am hoping to be.

I still need some help from 15 to 20. Thanks in advance.
