Two-Handed Exotic Weapon
Damage: 1d8
Critical Range: 19-20/x3
Damage Type: P or S
Benefit: A sword-lance deals double damage when used from the back of a charging mount. While mounted, you can wield a lance with one hand.
Weapon Feature(s): reach
Expanded critical, plus an extra damage type. A Sword-Lance is to a Lance what a Falcata is to a Longsword. Reasonable?

Yea, I understand the sentiment. Theoretically it is on par with exotic weapons. Though, with the power/popularity of LANCE-POUNCE builds, makes sense. That's why I asked. Was my gut reaction, too. But, really want it to work. I want to build Vampire Hunter D, and his sword-lance-thingy is sweet.

You have to expend a feat to be proficient and you have to use it while mounted?
If you can use it on foot against adjacent foes as well without any penalties it might be overpowered, but at the cost of a feat and being primarily useful while mounted?
I'd probably be fine with it.
If he crits with it he gets x5 damage, not the normal 3 with a regular lance. I would not, personally.

EDIT: Nevermind, I'm wrong. I thought the critical on a lance was x2, not x3. Still though, you'd crit way to often with this thing. I'd probably not allow it.
