Got a new player wanting a tomb robber type character. Good at traps and break and enter etc but has the skills etc to be able to deal with undead guardians.
I was thinking cleric/rogue. Which Golarian gods would be ok with the idea of this kind of lifestyle and would provide the right bonuses spells etc for this class.
Are there any other options you might recommend?

Archaeologist bard would work fine. He can get some sweet spells to help him out (solid note is good for this), doesn't have to figure out performances, etc.
Inquisitors are good too, but they are very complicated.
Trapper Ranger works too. Favored Enemy undead and constructs should cover most guardians.

Not to mention for bard, bards can cast cure spells which are good for hurting undead in a pinch. I'd probably go Archeologist for this myself.
Inquisitor is good too.
For Rogue, the sanctified rogue archetype from Ultimate Combat would also work. I always hate giving up the Uncanny Dodge abilities, but the boost to Fortitude and Will saves would help shore up the rogue's defenses against undead abilities, and suits the flavor very well. And the rogue is otherwise very well designed to be a tomb robber. Since rogues can sneak attack corporeal undead in Pathfinder, that will certainly work just as well as it will against most other foes. The only problem is rogue doesn't have Knowledge Religion (which you'd want to evaluate undead abilities, not to mention the meaning of certain images on tomb walls)--not even the sanctified archetype, which seems a bit of an oversight (if you decide to go with this idea, maybe ask your GM if you can swap Knowledge Local for Knowledge Religion).
Hmm, maybe a sanctified rogue with a quick dip into cleric for a few basic spells... and a base domain ability or two (of course, that also heads us back toward inquisitor, but the multi-rogue would have sneak attack and more skill points). Actually, I like that idea... now I want to play it.
