I always like getting more campaign settings and beyond converting 3.5 ones to PF and the Galorion and Midgard has anyone else released or will release a camoign setting using PF rules?

checked the Kobold Quarterly website yet see no real update to Midgard. Anyone else know more?

Two settings that I'm currently using.

Cerulean Seas (Alluria Publishing)- Underwater adventuring. All characters are either of an aquatic or an amphibious race. Has a lot of underwater monsters, new aquatic classes and feats, and a fairly developed setting in one book.

Freeport (Green Ronin)- Pirate Adventuring. There is one generic book that describes the setting (Pirate's Guide to Freeport). Green Ronin then published various conversions for mutiple systems that contain characters stats, new feats, and new classes. The Pathfinder version is Freeport Companion: Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Edition.

Those sound awesome! Ive been wanting to try Aquatic setting for a bit now.

Cerulean Seas is a great book. The art is excellent, in full color and includes minis for the various races in the back. The underwater civilizations described give you enough detail to get a sense of the setting, but there is still a ton of room for expansion. Unfortunately, the book was so expensive to produce, it seems making it drove the company out of business. The PDF is avaliable here at Paizo and RPGNow.com has a full color softbound version you can order.

What made the book so expensive?

There is a discussion of this in the Cerulean Seas product thread. But one major factor was probably the art. It was all original and in full color. In terms of art, I would place it on a level with the art from Paizo itself.

Shadow Lodge

A few more:

Kingdoms of Legend
Mor Aldenn
NeoExodus
Oathbound
Obsidian Twilight
Realms of Twilight

The shared world of Necromancer Games / Frog God Games. While the Necromancer stuff is 3.X, all the FGG stuff is Pathfinder-compatible (as well as Swords & Wizardry: Complete).

Thanks for the list. I found the Oatbound core book super cheap used last week 6$. That being said I was trying to avoid having to convert stuff from 3.5 to PF. Still the list is helpful as it has 2-3 items on it I did not know about. So much appreciated.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Shadowlands campaign setting from Blackstar Games is being released this summer.

Rite has the Kaidan setting. It's Japanese horror. Right now, there's two adventures (one of which is a free stand alone one). Two more are in the works, and there are a number of race / options out.

JBE has the Shadowfall setting coming out next year. Well, this year.

There's a fairly complete draft of Midgard out to patrons. It is the biggest patronage project ever, so it takes a while. It also looks like it will be fantastic. I don't know the timeline for it, but I would expect the public release within the next 6 months.

There have been a couple/three Oathbound releases for PFRPG.

NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign Setting in available with a 4-star review. But unlike many of the other campaign settings on the market, NeoExodus in the only campaign setting with over a dozen supplements to go with the campaign setting.

Like Cheapy said Shadowsfall will be out this year. The Book of Beasts for the environment will be out in Feb. We've got our first fiction piece coming out tomorrow. Plus a players guide and gazetteer is coming. Shadowsfall covers the plane of Shadows and works with many, if not every, currently published campaign setting.

To respond to the OP question about Midgard, yes, there are about 15 or 20 Midgard releases so far, but the core setting book is not expected until this year--like Greyhawk, it is an adventures-first setting that is growing over time.

FWIW, the project backers have a copy of the setting manuscript and a rough map, and the text is going into editing later this month. If you want that detailed preview, the backer signup is here.

Hey, Wolfgang, after subscribing to Kobold Quarterly for 3-4 years, and signing up for Journey to the West, I added the Midgard Patron Project. Between you and Paizo, you guys keep my wallet screaming. But I enjoy good products.

Just my 2 cp.

Terah is due to launch at PaizoCon. It's a complete steampunk campaign setting and will include additional adventure path modules. The first of the public playtests will start tomorrow, with one each month through May. This month is a set of feats centering around a world concept called runecasting. February is the psionics system. March is a new class similar to the old first edition illusionist. April is the earthsinger prestige class. May is the Spark class.

Not sure why I put all that in there. It's just going to appear again tomorrow in the official annoucement.

Thanks, Silverhair!

I appreciate the support, and as it happens, I'm working hard on Midgard rewrites today. Back to it!

Thank you all for answering. Feel free to add to this thread. always good to know more PF campaign settings.

A question. you have Oatbound Seven and Oatbound Eclipse. What are the differences and which one should I buy?

I'll throw 0one games Great City Campaign setting and Urban Adventures AP into the mix. The Pathfinder conversions are free. Also, the player books -- including the Ennie winner -- are in Pathfinder, native, I believe.
