Can a vampire have its coffin inside a golem?
we ran ravenloft and my party destroyed him in 5 rounds so i had him return in a giant robot golem. what is every body's reading on vampires resting after their bodes have been destroyed.
do they have to rest in a coffin in a basement somewhere or can they rest in a golem that is programmed to defend /attack the party of adventures? along as there is earth form there burial ground right? and vampire experts out there want to chime in.
Anybody?
It'd be a big, lumbering golem, to have a whole coffin filled with sand and vampire inside it. Wouldn't it be easier to have a golem guard the thing, or make the coffin itself magical, intelligent and capable of casting Teleport?
I'm running an email game of Ravenloft with my brother at the moment and Strahd is so going to have a Coffin Golem - at least as a backup plan. That's fantastic. Maybe use some of the ideas from the grave golem or whatever that one Ravenloft golem was called?

I think that is a fantastic idea. It means the party has to defeat Strahd, then defeat the coffin golem, and then finish off Strahd.
Of course, my group would say it was BS. :)
