Maybe I'm being lazy, but I can't find anything that explains the degree to which you can "move" the basic illusion spells (silent, minor, or major image). Can you make them move intelligently or react in any way? since you're concentrating on them? Any reference to the answer would be great.
I would surmise that you could direct the spell as you like (within the limits of the spell of course) as a direct result of the concentration requirement.

Deck of Illusions
Aura moderate illusion; CL 6th
Slot —; Price 8,100 gp; Weight 1/2 lb.
Description
This set of parchment cards is usually found in an ivory, leather, or wooden box. a full deck consists of 34 cards. When a card is drawn at random And thrown to the ground, a major image of a creature is formed. The figment lasts until dispelled. The illusory creature cannot move more than 30 feet away from where the card landed, but otherwise moves and acts as if it were real. At all times it obeys the desires of the character who drew the card. When the illusion is dispelled, the card becomes blank and cannot be used again. If the card is picked up, the illusion is automatically and instantly dispelled.
Basically, you can tell the illusion from the card to behave however you like. It can last for centuries. Basically, we're talking about it being the holographic doctor from Star Trek.

W/o spoiling anything. I ran a PFS mod where an npc used a combination of Ghost Sound and Silent Image to create a marching squadron of soldiers. I would say that implies that you can move them. It does have to stay within the range of the spell however.

According to the SRD, you can move figments like Silent Spell "within the limits of the size of the effect". No other limitation is mentioned, but I guess you do have to assign an area in which the illusion can move at the time of casting. After that, anything goes.
Personally, I like putting rebellious texts in the sky and letting them rotate slowly. So what if everyone automatically makes their save? You can still read the outline.
