We were discussing a player in a prior campaign. A 3.x drunken monk (imo a stupid prc) who was always challenging the other PC's to combat. Just had an idea for a tactic that he probably would not have expected (I wish I had thought of it back then).
Can you use Neutralize Poison to get rid of someone's drunken state (So in this instance he would have lost the benifits it gave him)? After all, you can get alcohol poisoning if you drink too much of it too fast.

Hmm, good question. dotting this one myself to see what others think.
Personally, I would be hesitant to allow it to turn off class features like that, but as it is written, it can turn off the poison touch level 20 grand discovery of an alchemist for 10 minutes per caster level.
That being said, I could see allowing the monk a will save to keep it from turning off his alcohol based powers..

Yes, it would work, but the Monk could choose to save against it. It's "Will Negates (harmless)", not "None".
EDIT: Actually, I think alcohol is listed as a drug in pathfinder, so it might not work. In 3.5 it probably would.
Yea alcohol is a drug up until the point it becomes toxic. If this were the case you could "neutralize" water in someone's body as well, because people can get water toxic as well if too much is imbibed.
