A friend and I have been discussing making a pair of characters that are designed specifically to work together for a future campaign. The campaign isn't for several months so we have plenty of time to come up with concepts. We tend to play a very combat heavy game, so that's mostly what I'm looking for.
The game will most likely be 25 point buy with CRB, APG, UM and UC available. The game will be running from 1-16 and will be in a Victorian style setting, Guns will be available but I'm assuming Advanced Guns will not.
I'm mostly looking for concepts, maybe classes and a couple of key feats. Full builds are not necessary, and bonus points for anything way outside of the box. Character ideas in a roleplaying sense are of course welcome.
I look forward to seeing what people come up with.

Fighter (cad) with an emphisis on dex, disarm and dirty trick. he's a not-so-noble black sheep from an upper class family, and while he favors a rapier for his frequent duels he's more than capable with anything that's just lying around. makes extensive use of flash powder, smoke sticks and thunderstones for the drama, and loves women, wine and wealth in that order. carries several spare right-handed gloves, just in case he has to challenge someone to a duel.
he's cocky, overconfident, and has an uncanny knack for getting into trouble. i'd recommend human with agile manuvers, weapon finess and combat expertise as your first level feats, with improved disarm at second level and improved dirty trick at third level. max out your dex and have at least 13 int, high charisma and low wisdom also fit the character (you may want iron will to compensate.)
Edit: forgot to add co-op bit. tag teams with his buddy: he leaves the enemy unable to fight back, buddy does the damage to finish them.

a buddy of mine and I have a trip fighter and a bull rush fighter. I am a dragoon tripper (DM allowed me to craft my own spear to add a hook to it) but a polearm fighter is more RAW, while he is a 2handed fighter. right now, his main bullrushes are through bullrush strike with his keen falchion, and I trip through felling smash. Taking Paired opportunists is fun because when he bullrushes someone it provokes an opp from me (due to greater bullrush) and that allows him to take an opp. I replace my opp with a trip to the target which in the wording of greater trip: provokes an opp from me. he gets to take another attack. with one crit, he gets two attacks and I get one, which happens on a 15-20. both being 2handed fighters, one focused on control, one with damage, it is pretty fun
there are others in the party, but we don't care about them cause they're not as cool (not really, we have an alchemist, a monk, a witch, and a sorc)

Thread resurrection!
So we've pretty much decided on a Barbarian/Druid combo. Barbarian rides the animal companion (or the Druid) and we take advantage of the Ferocious Mount rage powers. The Druid will be a combat character too, and use most/all of his spells buffing the three of them. Obviously we want to stay away from the RANGELANCEPOUNCE cheesiness, plus I don't think my DM would let pounce fly with a lance (and I probably wouldn't respect him if he did, truth be told).
I'm trying to come up with ways of maximizing the synergy of the two characters, and was wondering if anybody had thoughts on feats/tactics we could use.
I'm a big fan of the Improved Grapple line + Allosaurus, however my thoughts may change if anything particularly cool comes with Bestiary 3.
