I am making a dhampir Inquisitor of Pharasma for a Carrion Crown campaign and am unsure what to take as my starting feat. Should I take Toughness to help with the lower hit points that I get because of the racial constitution penalty, or should I take Martial Weapon Proficiency to get access to a good slashing weapon?

hmmm you know there was afeat I'd suggest, cant remember its name or its description. but.... might be thinking of something else so...
but... at the moment I'd take martial weapon proficiency for a better weapon since all the inquisitor has is all simple weapons + a few ranged ones and the deity's favored weapon in your case is a dagger.
I'd also take toughness at lvl 3....
depending on what weapon you have in mind to use; consider weapon finess

Toughness sounds good. A Con penalty on a d8 character sounds rough.
I recommend Judgment Surge at 7th. It lets you treat your Judgment as three levels higher. That increases every single one of the categories by 1 and gives you your 10th level bonus effects at 7th level.
Yeah my character's 13 con is harsh but favored class bonus going to hit points every level should help some. It's one of the reasons I'm considering getting Martial Weapon Proficiency to give me a good slashing weapon as opposed to Toughness. Also I completely agree with you on getting Judgment Surge, it's a great feat even if the benefit is only once per day.

Hmm, I'm surprised someone else came up with a Dhampir Inquisitor of Pharasma. I would've played it for one of my group's games, but since the group wanted to fit a theme I caved to peer pressure and went with Oread instead.
In the mean time, I'd suggest Toughness. Makes up for the Con penalty, and you can pick up weapon proficiency a little bit later.
