Need Advise On A Sentai / Power Ranger / Kamen Rider Build For Society Play

Advice

Scarab Sages

So I wanted to create something weird and fun to play in a society event this Saturday. After talking about it with others I settled upon this concept, the Japanese transforming super hero (Power Ranger, Kamen Rider, etc.) And I figured the best way to do that was to take levels of Synthesist and Paladin. He'll shout out all his attacks, and always fight for justice!

But since I'm fairly new to society and I know there is some ambiguity surrounding the Sythesist, I'm unsure on how to build it. I'm thinking having Str & Dex as dump stats, and start as synth. Other than that I'm open to suggestion on how to build this for society play. Thank you in advance.

Befriend everyone. Also, come up with a phrase for when you transform. Maybe take the spell that lets you add evolutions.

Sorry, kamen rider W and Fourze fan.

Okay, so no one wants to help me make a Henshin Hero for Society. *sigh* Well can anyone tell me if a synthesist can used his fused form stats to qualify for feats?

I believe if you take the feats you can only use them in the form that has the appropriate ability score.

I don't know much about the Synthesist, sorry I can't be much help! I would be interested in seeing what you come up with!

All good tokusatsu heroes need martial arts, so IUS is a no-brainer. If you can afford the dip, a level in monk will cover your unarmed damage along with the "fist" feat of your choice (more on that later). Otherwise, you can fake it with a monk's belt if you've got the gold, or take the poor man's option and buy a cestus.

Of course, you'll want a finishing move as well; preferably something flashy and memorable. Smite Evil is great on its own, but it's even better with your fists (or feet) on fire. Elemental Fist will take care of that nicely, as will an Amulet of Mighty Fists with the flaming quality - for extra cool points, make the command word for your flaming amulet part of the attack name. Punishing Kick isn't strictly necessary, but it does ensure that your unrighteous foe staggers backwards and falls down before they explode, as all good villains should.

Thank you for the advice. I still like to hear what other people think the answer to my previous question plus this new one: Does a synthesist's need to take the weapon proficiency evolution to be able to use a manufactured weapon while fused? Or does the synthesist's own proficiency allow it to wield a manufactured weapon?

Don't know, but as a Kamen Rider fan I can tell you: synthesist is a good idea if you want to transform, but take a lot of monk levels rather than paladin... you're LG all the same.^^

I would probably keep the levels of paladin, smite evil is totally within the ballpark of what the Riders do. Leaping charge and a few levels of ninja to get really good jumps, also wouldn't be a miss, sadly they can't make really impressive jumps until level 10.

No, because the stat adjustment is not "permanent".
