It would appear that, RAW, they are not.

I'm going to apply the "common sense" rule that Paizoians often apply, but...an official update is always welcome.

The Exchange

i am sure that anything that gets a nat. attack from any reason is proficient

Grand Lodge

Oh yeah, think of any spell or effect that gives you natural weapons, there is non-proficient penalty noted. You're good to go.

Razortusk specifically mentions that you are proficient with it.

The Exchange

This brings up the question, are Beast Totem Barbarians proficient with their claws, or their bite with Animal fury. Neither of these mentions proficiency, either.

Druids proficiencies specifically say they are proficient with natural attacks from their wild shape.

FAQing would be useful, since this is not just an alchemist issue.

The srd doesn't mention anything under natural weapons about monsters being proficient with them either.

Grand Lodge

I would just keep playing it as if they were. Wait for some faq, but until then, don't beat your self up.

It is listed in the creature's type. Creatures are proficient with all natural weapons their race possesses.

Trust me, I am thoroughly ignoring this lack of a rule.

Where's that under? Couldn't find it in the universal monster rules.

Bestiary!

At the top of page 141 in the core rule book it says:

Quote:
All characters are proficient with unarmed strikes and any natural weapons possessed by their race.

Though I think it should be changed to say "any natural weapons possessed by their race and/or class" instead of just race.

Natural Attacks: Am I proficient in my natural attacks?

Yes. Whether you get those natural attacks from your race (as stated in the Bestiary entry on natural attacks), your class (as stated in the druid proficiency list), a polymorph effect (as stated in the Magic chapter), or any other source (such as an alchemist's feral mutagen), you are proficient in your natural attacks.
