After spotting Abundant Ammunition in UC my son is now trying to work out how to make or the cost 'at retail' for a 'Self Loading 2 Barrel Pistol'
I reckon, so far, the requirements would be Craft Magic Weapons and Armour, Gunsmithing, and Knowledge (Alchemy). The costs would include
2000gp for Abundant Ammunition and 2050gp for the Masterwork 2 barrel pistol, also adding 'Reliable' adds 1000gp - so that equals 5050gp or something like that. The item itself would give off a strong conjuration aura if found in a treasure pile.
TBH We ain't to good at the magic item creation side of PF, so this is a good exercise for the both of us
Any wise and knowledgable players or GMs out there that can help finalise this idea?
p.s. I'm off to watch the POTC trilogy and some Clint Eastwood westerns :D

Self-loading, two-barreled pistols would cost more than this. It spares you a feat (rapid reload : DB pistol), which the gunslinger is starving for, or actions during fight.
Please remember than Abundant Ammunition reloads ONE barrel, and only at the beginning of the round. Hardly useful for a DB pistol if you are already focusing on them.
Do you intend for the weapon to reload itself after each shot ? If not, is that a permanent effect or spontaneous lasting a definite time /day ?
+1 Reliable DB pistol is worth 10 050 alone.

Actually Abundant Ammunition only works on replenishing ammunition that is taken from a pouch or quiver that is enchanted by the spell. So in all reality it does NOT reload ANY barrels.
That being said you can house rule things to the way you want. The beauty of a game like PF is the flexibility.

LOL! I realised the game mechanics after reading Abundant Ammunition PROPERLY, then I promptly repremanded my son and took away all his Xbox priviliges :D
TBH this self loading pistol thing reminds me of Hanks bow in the D&D cartoon!
...I looked at my original calculation and thought it was a bit cheap, so it would take a Gunsmithing Gunslinger a mere month of making and selling pistols to save up all his pennies HMMMMMMM I like it
(note to self - create simple magic items first - crawl before walking, walk before running!!!)
