Please? This subsystem is BEGGING for cards.
Make them in different colors:
Blue for Target Words
Red for Effect Words
Green for Meta Words
That way players could slap down the two (or more) words they wish to use.
As a bonus, it would also be kinda cool if there was an actual word and symbol printed on them ("Klaatu Verata Nicto!") but that isn't really necessary.

I also think this would be good. I guess the muted enthusiasm is a sign that there aren't many people using words of power.
Well, its not PFS legal, so that's a lot of players that can't/won't use it.
I'm giving it a shot in Dragon's Demand. But YES cards would be great!!!!
And I think it could be made PFS legal. Its doesn't look overpowered at all by comparison.

I really hope they support this system more. So much fun, and the cards would be great.
Don't hold your breath. At this time, the system is like that mad relative that's being kept hidden up in the attic out of shame and embarrssment. The mythic rules aren't quite in that bad a state, but no one mentions them in polite company.

Let me tell you a story.
Sure, we Wordcasters give up a lot. We may not get as many tricks as all you fancy Vancian casters do, and it's hard to pull off immortality via clone or simulacrum, but....
First off, no Words have expensive material components. Let me reemphasize that. No Words have expensive material components. None. Not the Word for Animate Dead (which, by the way, has a range of close, and is a level 2 spell on the Cleric list), nor Raise Dead (Though it does bestow three negative levels, but hey. Restoration is also free.). Furthermore, all spells are a standard action to cast, including summoning spells. But why bother, really? Just reanimate the first foe that falls as a zombie for free.
Oh, and there's one little word that breaks the system even more:
lock ward.
Sure, at first glance, it looks like it's an inferior version of arcane lock or somesuch. However, there's a few key elements:
1- it can be cast on a potion bottle or scroll clasp, allowing the secondary Words to trigger as they buff themselves or cast from a scroll.
2- Most importantly, though, is that the Word doesn't say that secondary spells need be harmful. Just hand all of your allies a little potion bottle (see above) that's been Lock warded with, oh, how about a greater invisibility+fly? Because that's possible.
And that's just the start of what we Wordcasters can do. If we're unleashed, we break the system barely trying.
