Get ready. We begin writing on November 1.

"The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30."

.

What: Writing one 50,000-word novel from scratch in a month’s time.

Who: You! We can’t do this unless we have some other people trying it as well. Let’s write laughably awful yet lengthy prose together.

Why: The reasons are endless!

Are you participating, tensor? :)

Oh yes. I play this game every year!

It'll be my fourth go at this, and possibly my second win.

A theme has been set. A topic has been established.

It will be part of my self-motivation for a Modern Era Pathfinder setting.

Also part of a playtest for more martial arts styles for monks and ninjas - one will be kyton themed, full of chains, barbs, and GET OVER HERE.

ok, for some reason I thought for a second that this would be a forum game - write a 50000 word novel through consensus. It could be interesting to see what comes out.

This will be my third year at it. If you want to see the last two years efforts you can look here

Done it every year. This will be my fourth time. Have to get my story idea lined up...

I think last year I got it done in 5 days. The story was beating itself into my keyboard!

This year I am just going to combine a few other stories I have read.
Like: harry dresden + dark tower + buffy + star trek

This way I won't run out of ideas. It may not be original, but I
think I'll at least make the word count.

Dark Archive

This will be try #2 Hopefully it will go better than try #1

I have more of a plan this time.....

This will be my fourth time. I succeeded for the first time last year. Hope to make it two years in a row!

Liberty's Edge

I have something else* to spend way too much time on in November. Good luck to all doing this, though!

Did I yell "GO!" yet?
