New format of the book for this AP

I am really enjoying the new format with the appendex, The interactive maps, the level summary at the begining of each chapter. I hope you keep this going in future APs am I the only one?

Yup; the plan is to keep with this new format... although in some adventures it's making us jump through some tricky hoops when we have more than 3 chapters...

Yeah, I like the new format (the level / chapter summary in particular) and the overall look / art / layout / backgrounds of this AP is gorgeous.

But, I have an issue with the PDF. I don't know what it is, whether this AP's artwork or format or whatever, but something is making my iMac's PDF reader crash every time I try to resize it. The other APs have all been fine but Jade Regent? Crash Crash Crash.

Does it happen on the Crown of the World Map? I noticed that with the labels layer turned on, the layer is bigger than the printable page, which gave me some weirdness on my PC. (The hand tool was not working as I expected.)

Probably... :D ...OK, you caught me. I haven't tried and I'm not at home now.

I open the PDFs from the 'one file per chapter' download, and the pages are both slow to load and reluctant to resize, finally giving up the ghost/bamboo spirits if I insist.

As for people having trouble with the AP files, I'm working on trying to track down a fix.

Comment on what looks like a Player View error in The Hungry Storm's interactive map. Uh ... I'll spoiler it just in case.

Spoiler:

The Iqaliat map (page 4) in Player View doesn't remove the walls of the secret passage to Tunuak's Bore (area K) in the main view. It does remove the floor though. :)

It's been a while Chris. Any new news on our iPad interactive map blues? I hope so.

Adobe did release a reader for iPad/iPhone, but it doesn't seem to have the support necessary for the maps to work. Unfortunately, there's very little I can do on this front. :(
