Between chapters of Jade Regent our DM is giving us a chance to play a high level gestalt campaign (level 12), one module between each chapter.
I'm putting together a Human Master Summoner/Oracle of Nature for this, and wondering if I should even bother to stat out my eidolon.
If I do, right now I'm leaning toward making it a mount of some kind, or a second scout for the group.
The current party makeup is :
Human Master Summoner/Oracle of Nature
Human Fighter/Inquisitor (not sure of fighter archetype)
? Ninja/Urban Ranger
? Bard/Oracle of Life
Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated...have 2 more weeks before this kicks off.

Write out all of the skills in the game. See which ones your party does NOT have.. give him max ranks, skill focus and the evolution skilled for it. Perhaps even an ioun stone or another slotless item for a bonus there.
Between that and the same for UMD you have something reasonable to contribute with him. By 12th the role of scout has past.. leave that to the ninja.
Think of him as a differently designed familiar in terms of role.

Playing a Master Summoner in a Carrion Crown. Having your eidolon out as a scout-type is good ideal.
With the +8 to a Perception and Survival using the Skilled(Ex) evolution you can hit a respectable 15 at lv 6 for your Eldolon (Your lv 12).
One thing to take note of is that your Eldolon is VERY weak as a combatant. So try to avoid making it a solo scout. Make it more of a look out or a tracker scout. Use it to as a sniffer dog like character.
Remember you got a Ninja in your party, let him/her solo scout a head, but have your Eldolon act as a early warning system or to scout just ahead.
