Mounted Halfling Slinger

Advice

I think it could be a blast to have a halfling mounted on something riding around as a master slinger.

What is the best way to do this? Say build it up to level 7 w a 25 pt buy. Obviously take the trai war slinger, but after that? Cavalier? Fighter and burn some feats?

Summoner with an Eidolon mount is another option. Though fighter may be your best bet if you really want to be awesome at just slinging.

An archery-style ranger can still use a sling with his combat feats, right? I'd say go ranger and get an animal companion you can ride, plus all the ranged bonus feats.

i just saw the Luring Cavalier archetype. That might be a good choice

I'd probably go with the ranger due to the nice halfling alternative favoured class options (+ AC vs favoured enemies) and the added versatility, but the fighter will, admittedly, help you with damage. There's a feat called big game hunter that will help you against Large or larger targets - you may want to look into that.

Play a Hurler (Barbarian Archetype).

The archetype is not that good, and the barbarian isn't the best ranged fighter but it's just plain awesome!

Best ranged Barbarian is Urban archetype. Get Dex bonus from rage.

Like the character idea man, sounds really cool.

Fighter or scout, mix and match.
