May want to reconsider the "master summoner" gains augment summoning as a bonus feat at level 2..
.....so you can select other feats, not requiring spell focus (conjuration)
You can emphasize different feats and really work up your build!
and can spam more creatures as a spell like ability, don't like the Eidolon don't ever summon it! ;)

That is my suggestion as well. But I am not enough of an optimizer to give you a lot of sepcific advice. However if I were going to create a PC that focuses on summoning, I think I would also prefer a wizard specializing in conjuration rather than an actual summoner.
I think augment summoning is a worthy feat. And I would recommend the pre-req of Spell Focus-conjuration anyway because there are a lot of really cool conjuration school spells that require a save.

I have been considering a sorcerer with one of the bloodlines that give the template to your summoned creatures. But I haven't tried it yet.

I run my cleric as a secondary summoner. Now that they can summon same-aligned things as a standard action, it's easy.
He's an Evangalist with the glory domain. At 8 I'm going to summon d3 lantern archons and give the whole party bardsong and heroism in 1 round, then have the archons attack at +4 to hit / +2 damage extra that same round. At 11 his bardsong will add +3/+3 and d6 damage to all attacks (discordant voice)
If I concentrated solely on that I would:
1) spell focus, augment
3) superior
5) summon as standard action
7) summons get blindfighting / darkvision
9) lingering song
11) discordant voice
Then win :).

The big issue with Theurge is the same issue Theurge always has; you are 1.5 levels behind on casting. At 7 you summon monster 2, not 4.
Oracle of natures have the most "animal type" options, though again Sacred summons makes being a non-cleric, non-summoner that summons that much more painful. That one round delay where you are vulnerable hurts.

I was actually thinking that combining summons with Invisibility might be able to make up for the time delay on the casting time. Perhaps with a Diviner Wizard so that I can go in the surprize round and start an incounter with Invis. or Vanish.
Feats would still start with Spell Focus and Augment... and if I'm in PFSOP and start with the Wizard class I get the Spell Focus in place of Scribe Scroll.
what were the other feats listed in the posts above?

Superior Summons - when you use a lower level spell to summon (for instance, get d3 summon monster 3 monsters from SM IV), add one to the number of critters.
Starlight summons is the other one, but it appeRs that (and moonlight, the other good one) require summon natural's ally spells. So to truly augment up i guess you'd cleric 1/splash X. Glad to know, was going to get that on my summoner, but it appears it cannot happen. Ah well; guess there is a reason to do the Druid-variants. But Summon Monster > SNA, and Sacred Summons makes you just a better summoner.
If you really want invisible grab trickery domain; then you'll get it (and improved) sooner. You will severely nerf the summons if you multi.

I have a summoner of Desna that my GM let me take Starlight summons with, since it fit so well. Might be worth asking.
Also, Fog Cloud + Starlight Summons is awesome.

the Invisible is sort of a sideline to the Diviner class - that allows me to go during the surprize round and with a high Init I will often go before the party is ambushed. So I was sort of taking Wiz summoner - maybe adding levels of Druid to get the SNA spells.
Like I said, this guy is not real clear in my head yet.

the only one I know of removes channel and I think only has one domain... so it is a possiblity. Wand of Invis. is expensive and the cleric only get's one Invis spell otherwise.

Wand of invisible is 4500; not so bad.
If you want it that much, take the flight domain, get an animal companion, then take the teamwork feat that lets you act in surprise round when they do or act fully in surprise otherwise.
I just looked up Starlight summons too; it requires Nature's Ally but works on all summons. Feather domain gives you SNA at 7, so you qualify, and you can use flight to stay out of combat (> invisible)
Feather Evangalist (Human)
1) Augment Summon
3) Superior Summon
5) Sacred Summon
7) Starlight Summon
9) Moonlight Summon
11) Discordant Voice
Now your summons come into play with mad abilities en masse, attacking at +3, you can fly... this guy is pretty badass :).

If you want to be a Wizard summoner, be a conjuror. They get + 1/2 level to durations of summon monster. Seeing as how that's round / level duration it's important to get additional duration. For a bonus, go teleportation subschool from apg. You get a swift 1/2 level distance teleport that doesn't provoke attacks of opportunities. At 8th level you get Dimension Door for 30 ft / wizard level / day. My wizard is awesome.
Alternatively, there's also creation subschool if you'd rather be Batman (Summon Swarm - bats). Though no teleporting school abilities for him.
:P

That's fair. Though every bit of duration helps for utility, especially if your scout does its job and you're able to sneak up and pre buff. Plus, IMO Conjuration is among the best schools in the first place. Divination has awesome school abilities, but on the other hand you have to fill up your spellbook and memorization with divination spells, which is kinda redundant after a while.

Unrelated to that! Thalin's build is a great idea. Except for Moonlight summons. Starlight summons is much better IMO, due to Blindfight.
Leadership is also a solid domain for this, due to the unlimited use level 1 ability. By the time you have everything on the field and buffed up, you might not have need to use other spells. And that would still give a nice boost to your summons and allies!
I would also recommend thinking of Sacred Summons before Superior Summons. SupSum is great, but a standard action summoning is amazing.
If you can't grab the *light summons, I'd recommend Craft Wondrous.

fit in the eldritch bloodline feats for the bloodline that lets you get an extra... demon(?) when you summon to go with superior summons and you can get 3 of the top monster you can summon with each summon spell you cast.
