Reverse gravity and open spaces

Rules Questions

What happens if i cast reverse gravity in open space (sky above)? What about different plane that there is no sky, if you fly up you just keep going up endlessly?

"If an object or creature reaches the top of the area without striking anything, it remains there, oscillating slightly, until the spell ends."

Oh so that's why the area is listed in cubes......
Thank you.

Another question:
Assuming i have enough caster level, can i create an area 20x20 and 60 feet high?

Within the spells area of effect, gravity is reversed. You fall up until you reach the upper field of the spell and hit regular gravity, at which you fall back into the reverse gravity, floating in the air. If you have a way of propelling yourself, you can shunt your way out.

I coulda sworn that in some previous edition, it was just an area, not a volume. In fact, playing War of the Burning Sky, nobody in our group noticed that it was a volume instead of an area, since I disposed of an entire group of mooks for the entirety of a combat. They made a nice little crater when the fell back down a few minutes later.

Certainly. That would be caster level 24.
