Sin Eater Advice

Advice

Hello, I'm planning on making a sin eater, his/her diety will be Urgathoa, since it fits the concept of eating stuff (diety of gluttony after all), anyways, I have everything planned out, but, I can't seem to pick a domain/inquisition that fits the concept well AND that is mechanically relevant,so, I need your advice on which domain/inquisition to pick for my sin eater.

oh, this is super easy.

you don't get one. You lose access to your domain in exchange for the Eat Sin power.

hope that helps!

Inquisitors don't gain 2 domains?

Nope. Pg 38 of APG, under domains, states:
"..selectiong one domain to represent her personal inclination and abilities."
they also do not gain bonus spell or slots there of.

Shadow Lodge

Yeah, Inqus don't really need a domain to function. They get so many class abilities that it's not even funny anymore. Hah, like all APG classes.

I'm currently playing a Sin Eater in PFS and at low levels the free healing is a godsent. No need to rely on party members or chew through wands when you can just taste the blood of broken foes. Teh 6th level ability is also a nifty trick and I know getting constant free advice from the dead would be a useful feat for many an AP.

Really, if you look at some of the lousy stuff you get from the regular domains and inquisitions, free heals and free speak with the deads are pretty jawsome.

well the only ability that i didn't liked was the martyr one, unless there is a way of making it work in your favor.

that would be why its a martyr ability, it's not supposed to help you, its to help someone else.

but off the top of my head

Crap, cleric is turned to stone and he has stone to flesh, well now I'm stone and he can cure me

Crap, wizard is int drained into near uselessness, well that doesn't effect me as bad, so now I r dum and he all smartz agains

Crap, fighter is has so many negative levels he looks a little shadowy, well I have Death Ward, so I cast that on me and take those level on myself for a bit to let him resume his ass-kickery

it's the ultimate "take one for the team" ability and fits perfectly into the idea of a character who takes another's sin into themselves to purify that person.

I'm running one in a homebrew game, where Taint (from Heroes of Horror) plays a huge role, so we house-ruled a few changes to fit with the world and I'm loving the concept and the playability of the class. Can't wait until I can take the 11th level ability and help out my party even more.

What does the loss of domain from taking the Sin Eater Archetype mean for my spell list? Does it mean I can take any spells without worrying about domain conflict or does it mean I get no spells?

Inquisitors never get spells from domains. They don't interact at all, you just choose spells from the inquisitor list.
