So I'm going to trick out a level 4 sorcerer for a friend's game. I'm thinking ifrit with the crossblooded Orc/Primal fire elemental and going for broke with fire spells. What do you guys think?
I have to stop you from doing this!
For a 4-lvl one-shot you don't want to play a crossblooded sorcerer.
You get one less spell known, and since you don't get bonus spells before 5-lvl, then you are going to have zero lvl 2 spells known.

hmm good point. I forgot that I'd only had one 2nd level spell known at 4th

I have played a Halfllng Dragon Blooded (Gold) Sorcerer in PFS and have never wanted. Although you will only be going to 4th lvl, the extra +1 dmg per dice has added up. There are a lot of fire spells.
Of course you have to have Halfling fearlessness to get up close for Burning Hands ... but who lives forever?

A gnome orc-blooded (or red/gold dragon-blooded) build might get you to the same theme and still give you that second level spell.
S: 8 D: 14 C: 16 I: 10 W: 11 Ch: 18 (20 pt build, +1 CHA @ 4th)
Spells:
1st: Burning Hands (DC 17, 5d4+5 damage)
2nd: Flaming Sphere (DC 18, 3d6+3 damage)
(fill in as desired)
Feats:
1st: Spell Focus (Evo)
3rd: Greater Spell Focus (Evo)
(this is definitely "all in" with your theme)
Flaming Sphere gives you 4 rounds of "attack" for 1 spell, so you will get more spell bang for the buck than a one and done spell.
If you meet a fire resistant mob (> 10 fire resistance), then you might want a Potion of Expeditious Retreat to run awaaaaay. Har Har!
Or better, be certain to pick your other 1st level spells to give you something to do against those critters (Sleep, Color Spray, Magic Missile, Enlarge Person, or something).
