I just love the little catalog books. Even though I get most of the stuff in it from subs, they're so cool to look at. :)
They're ok. I do find it a bit annoying that by the time the 2011 catalog comes out (for example), 2011 is pretty much on it's way out. But that's just a personal pet peeve.

Well, it *does* say "2011–2012 Catalog" on the cover.

I'm the opposite actually. I'd rather not receive one as they're pretty much just a list of what I've bought this year (or am about to buy).
I'd be a big fan if there was an e-version available in say February which conveniently listed likely releases in all product lines without me having to click through the various subscription options and select "List Newest first" (which in my unsolicited opinion, should be the default..)

I'm glad someone likes them, because I spend more time writing, editing, and assembling them than I do almost anything else related to Paizo these days.
Once upon a time I wrote about zombie tea parties, unlucky gremlins, and the like. Now I try to find seven different ways to describe a Flip-Mat.
The adventure continues! :)

I like them but I would like to see them come out a bit sooner. Like maybe do a spring/summer and then a fall/winter one for each year and make sure like the spring/summer one is out a month before. I mean your guys web page normally stays that far ahead. I think that would be more useful. Especially if we the subscribers got them as something to give new players. I have done that with the ones I get already, but just be nice if they was early and two a year. :)

Are you familiar with our Product Schedule page?
(And one of the reasons "newest first" is not the default is that, where preorders are included, "newest" actually usually means "furthest in the future," which is almost certainly not what most people are trying to find.)
Also, compiling a catalog in February is just about the worst possible month to get the attention of consumers. Late Summer is great because we can spread it around at Gen Con, and have it in retail stores prior to the holiday season, which is when a lot of the sales occur.

Thanks - I do have that page bookmarked. It just doesnt go far enough into the future for me. (By the way, this isnt something I regard as a "reasonable request" since I doubt you're in a position to give me what I want. I'm afraid if you lift the customer service bar high enough, people like me begin demanding the impossible..)

Yeah, that's a fair point. As a customer, one tends to forget that one's own wants arent usually the norm.

I like the catalogs, but I really liked the adventure with the zombie dinner party and the one with the unlucky gremlins ... you should write more of those.

I suspect she would be thrilled to hear this news.
I'm in charge of the editorial schedule, so it's not for lack of opportunity. Things at the company are crazy busy these days, which doesn't leave a lot of free time for other projects.
I'm working on it, though. I've been posting to my personal blog again lately, and have a novel outline brimming, as well as a new campaign that will likely spin off some game products.
It's all in the timing.

I love them too! FULL COLOR, beautiful paper. Paizo and Pathfinder are what quality is all about! It's little things like this that will make me a life long, devoted customer.

Bel. :)

We try to make sure that everybody gets a catalog as soon as possible once we print a new one. Catalogs weigh something, however, so they can add to the cost of shipping an order. If it doesn't change the shipping cost too much, we'll go ahead and add the catalog to your order and we pay for the difference in postage. If adding a catalog bumps your package into a much higher shipping rate, we'll hold the catalog until your next order in hopes that it won't be too expensive to add.

I do enjoy them as well. I stash them away next to my Days of Wonder and Fantasy Flight catalogs, which are right next to my stack of board games for game night. It gives something to look at during down time. AND they remind me of pre-internet days as a child, pouring over the Sears Christmas catalog.
[tangent]Best moment: discovering the NERF Bow & Arrow. Next to the NES: Best.Christmas.Present.Ever. I could finally justify owning a toy bow and mom couldn't say no to foam arrows.[/tangent]

I hope to see it in October then...I've never seen a Paizo Catalog but find myself very intrigued.
