You are confusing ability to learn with intelligence.
Einstien was horrible at math (never good at learning it) but was smart enough to make an atom split and make the nuclear bomb.
Popular myth which is wrong on a couple of levels. Einstein was not incompetent at math, but what he lacked was grounding in certain high-end theorectical maths to translate his models into practical testable science. He found what he needed in Lorentz who worked out the maths for aspects of relativity like time dilation which is why it's frequently known as the Einstein-Lorentz Equation.
Also Einstein was not the one to split the atom, you're thinking Rutherford and Bohr. His only contribution to the Manhattan Project was to scare President Roosevelt into starting one. He provided nothing, not even theory to what went to building the bomb itself. The Atom had already been discovered and split before Einstein started doing his theory work during his spare time at the post office. His contributions are to 1. the Photo-electric effect (which got him the Nobel) and relativity.
I'll back that up by pointing out that the only reason Einstein failed at school was because he had a serious problem with authority. He nailed every test he bothered to take, they just failed him anyway because he paid someone to attend class for him so he could study topics a little less boring to him.
At last according to his biography anyway.

Feat:
Common Sense:
when the player is about to do something stupid the Gm allows a level check with wisdom bonus to "figure out" why something is a bad idea.
I just do that without a feat because otherwise that would have sucked up 4 out 5 of my players first feats. But I use INT instead, however WIS does seem like it would be the stat to use though... I'll keep that in mind.

So you are not bored. What's the problem? If you want to sit some hours with your friends once a week better change game and use anyone more simple. As I said:

And, so... what's the matter?

Who said anything's the matter? I posted a problem a few days ago, I got suggestions from others about how to proceed, found the answers I was looking for today and thanked everyone for their time and attention. Problem solved.
People still keep posting however so I keep responding, but that doesn't mean anything's wrong.

I still think relativity is a load of old piss-piffle, it's still the same time, no matter the distance traveled. Yes it may take a few seconds for that clock all the way back on earth to reach you, but when you come back both the clock you have on you, and the one on earth, will have the same, if any, difference as when you left.
It's also a surprisingly shallow thing to be widely considered one of the most brilliant things ever.
can we save this for the off-topic board?

Doesn't sound like an intelligence issue, sounds like a motivation issue. They don't sound all that interested or invested in the game. They probably don't even care if you stop playing and find something else to do.
I play with guys right now that are similar in terms of rules understanding. But not from a lack of intelligence. They simply don't care. They work and lead full lives outside of work. They have other responsibilities. They have other things they want do. So they don't spend much time learning the game or reading the books like they did when they were younger. Their investment and interest in the game is far less than it used to be when we were teens.
It happens as you get older. You either find players with a similar interest in the learning and playing the game as yourself or you accept that not everyone will spend the same time learning the game as you do. Assuming they are not intelligent enough to learn a game a 10 year old doesn't seem like a sensible response to your issue. Most likely they aren't that dumb, most likely they just don't care. If you're not having fun, maybe you should find something else to do like they do in their free time.

I cheat and appoint one of the players to be 'rules lawyer', another to handle initiative order, etc. My job is to keep track of the game world and the players' interaction with that world. The Half-Elves of my game are the effective nobility, heirs to the Elvish rulers of yore. More than once, I've had to catch players who forget that JJ, SKR and the rest forgot to check with me first when they wrote the rules. Heck, I've even let the players run their own combats!
