(UC) Armour Master Fighter Archetype plus Armour as DR?

Rules Questions

Could I get away with this?

It'll stack with armor. This will be my next fighter.

It'll just not stack from other sources like from a Barbarian's DR or a Stalwart Defender Prestige class.

After reading the rules a few times...yes, you could. Those extra points of DR would stack. So wearing heavy armor your DR would be 3 points higher than anybody else of equal level and equipment, until you hit 19th level.

So a 10th level armor master fighter in +2 Adamantine full plate would have, at minimum, a DR 16/armor that can only be bypassed by a gargantuan creature or brilliant energy weapon, if I'm calculating the numbers right. And that's before adding a shield. From reading it, in the Armor as DR system, adamantine does not provide DR, but affects what is needed to bypass the DR. That does sound pretty good, even if it's only three more points than a non armor master would get with the same equipment. Throw in a +2 tower shield and you've got DR 22/-. There'd be some CR 10s that's be incappable of hurting you, unless they rolled well on a crit.

Now, if said fighter also just happened to be a natural lycanthrope were-anklyosaurus using the companion stat block...but that's getting into powergaming and munchkin territory.

ok, so the DR 3/- provided by Adamantine in the normal system is not granted in the armor as DR system?

However it would stack with the stalwart or improved stalwart feat.
