The big problem was that they were using the wrong point buy (15 points instead of 20 points).
Whoa no wonder, man I knew we should have went with the Wizard! Would have rather used a cleric honestly, but our GM did not have that pregen. I printed them all now so I have a copy on me of the new core ones, which are a lot better also.

Cool, might we see some UM and UC pregens too you think?
With the release of Ultimate Combat, it is a good bet that they will have some pregens for the new classes from that book to showcase them and let players get a chance to play one at the convention. This is what was done last year with the APG.

Refer to this thread for what Mark had to say about pregens beyond the core four. Those will be the only pregens available at GenCon.

Don't remind me... we had a table of 5 star GMs who couldn't figure out how to play that monster of a game.

He's also available as an Unchained Summoner pregen in Fane of Fangs. As for the ACG it's not too bad once you get into it (though I would start with Skull and Shackles or Rise since Wrath seems to be a bit more complex). Really, it's a mechanically smooth game it just takes some getting used to, IMO.
