TWF inquisitor viable?

Advice

Is the TWF inquisitor viable now with UC or is it better to go with THF or ranged?

I'd say it's viable. Inquisitors have enough bonuses. Your DPR should even be higher than THF, but it requires more feats and therefore makes the inquisitor less versatile out of combat.

Don´t know about UC, but anyways: i´d start him as ranged. Give him pointblank and deadly aim /or precise shot. The repeating crossbows are just too sweet to pass up and give him a Buckler and a d8 melee weapon for starters.

I´m a big fan of THW, but you need not only feats, but also a decent base-attack bonus before you can seriously wade into melee.

You can also think about high(er) Dex and have him use light weapons with finesse later, exspecially weapons that can be thrown.

The twf inquisitor has a few serious problems.
The first one is the weapon prof. remember that inquisitors are prof. only with the simple weapons and pretty much all ranged weapons.
The second one is that TWF interferes with your spellcasting (somatic components), the way to get around that is using a double weapon or two weapons with a glove of storing.
The third is that twf requires a lot of feats and the inquisitor doesn't have bonus feats.
The fourth is that twf route requires a very high DEX, maybe some STR (depends on weapon choice and the amount of versatility wanted) and you also need wisdom for you spellcasting.

I don't say that it can't be done but it's quite difficult, the first two problems are more serious than the last two.

Yeah I saw the twin bane feat in the UC and it made the gears start grinding, as for weapons I think a Tengu fixes that problem and wisdom and partially dex.

Weapon proficiencies are an easy enough fix. Keep in mind that you get proficiency base don your god. So grab one that gives a light weapon. There's none among the main gods I'd sugest but I'm sure many of the minor gods probably have somethin like kukri's. Otherwise they are proficient in shields and it's not at all a bad thing to use a lightshield and shaield bash with it. One of my alias's is a paladin by Karlan Bladetwist that uses such a strategy and he doesn't have bonus feats either.
