Censoring filter just activated?

I've noticed that today, some words are censored now. Why was this put in place? Can there at least be an option to disable it, if it absolutely must be there?

To see how silly this can get, look at this post.

The user's name is listed, but when quoted, it is scrambled in SKR's post.

This is not new, we've had a profanity filter in place since the introduction of the messageboards, and "dyke" has been part of it since then. We do tweak what trips it off from time to time, however, so maybe it needs to be revisited again.
