Fetchling Characters

In Bestiary i read:

Quote:

"There are a number of monsters in this book that do

not possess racial Hit Dice. Such creatures are the best
options for player characters, but a few of them are
powerful that they count as having 1 class level, even
without a racial Hit Die. Such characters should only be
allowed in a group that is 2nd-level or higher."

Fetchling in Bestiary 2 is one of this "few of them"?!? there a sort of list of this +1liv. monster?!?

I think there's a certain amount of judgement call on the part of the DM. It seems to be the common thought that the various 'planetouched' races are a bit more powerful than the core races, but not enough to warrant a full level adjustment.

Others, though, like the Noble Drow, are most definitely far more powerful than any player race, and should have a level adjustment for sure.

As far as I can tell, the only one that is considered to count as 1 level higher is the Drow Noble. It says "Drow nobles are defined by their class levels—they do not possess racial Hit Dice. A drow noble's challenge rating is equal to her class level."

Normally, a creature with class levels has a CR equal to their class level -1, so this seems to be an indication that the Drow Noble counts as 1 level higher.

No other playable races make this distinction, so while they are not all particularly balanced it seems that none of them count as having an extra class level except Drow Noble.

The problem is that Fetchling looks more powerful of other planetouched:

His magic give three spell instead only one, double resistance instead only one and the bonus to two skill that other planetoched don't have
