In the rage subdomain's Rage ability, it says that while the cleric can't obtain any rage powers that have a level requirement, "but otherwise [her] barbarian level is equal to 1/2 [her] cleric level." What does this actually mean for the cleric? What are the benefits of these effective barbarian levels?

Some powers scale with level. That let's those do better than +1 forever.
So does that add ONLY to character's existing (or yet-to-come) scaling rage powers, but NOT to several other barbarian abilities which also scale by [her] barbarian level? such as Invulnerable Rager's Invulnerability's DR/- scales equal to half her barbarian level. Or Improved Uncanny Dodge for barbarian's effective rogue level.
Whatever the case, the wording in that ability from subdomain is bad. Simple is a good thing, but that is too simple, since it leaves some uncertainties on what it counts for.

The power states that you cannot access any Barbarian Rage ability that requires a specific barbarian level (these are normally denoted at the end of the power's description) but for all other level dependent aspects of Rage Powers that the Cleric can take, her Barbarian level is equal to 1/2 of the Clerics total Cleric Levels.

I'll admit, it was my character-idea which sprung up this slightly problematic issue in my mind.
I was planning on doing an Invulnerable Rager/Drunken Brute Barbarian, "dipping" eight levels into Dragon Shaman Druid (because that's just frikkin' awesome!), with Destruction Domain (Rage Subdomain).
To clarify why this popped up my mind, was that if the character is total lvl 12, with 4 levels of barbarian and 8 levels of druid, would the character's Invulnerability DR/- be equal to only half his actual barbarian level being DR 2/-, or would half of the druid's level add up for his actual barbarian level (which would be +4) in regard to Invulnerability, thus increasing the damage reduction total to DR 4/- as if equal to barbarian level 8?
Yes, this is for Pathfinder Society, and I'd prefer to avoid misconceptions on the character build, before I've even debuted the character in the first place.

I do not think that for the purposes of Barbarian Class Features you Druid levels would stack, the Rage Subdomain only benefits the actual "Rage" class feature, nothing else, so no your druid levels would not stack onto the Invulnerability Class feature.
Thank you for your time discussing about this. Helped a lot. Cheers! :)

You'd be DR 2/- since that damage resistance is a class feature of the Invulnerable Rager and not a rage power.
