I should have given them my video.

Wow. I was sure she was a goner.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn's having charges dropped, too.

Anyone want to take bets that Whitey Bulger walks?

I feel comfortable calling Casey Anthony a bad mother and a terrible human being.

I don't feel comfortable sentencing anyone to life in prison or the death penalty on nothing more than circumstantial evidence, however.

Wow.

Who? What?

Ah yes, I forget, the Europeans have a hard time keeping up with the latest "trial of the century" in the United States. =]

Long story short: A young woman in Florida was just acquitted of charges that she murdered her daughter. I leave the individual merits of those charges for others to dispute or confirm as they see fit.

Also, I'd add to that the incredible dislike (not Haterade™ level... yet) for Nancy Grace and other "journalists" that present said circumstantial evidence to their viewing public as "facts" that "prove" someone is guilty.

Do I think she did it? Probably, yeah. But we live in a nice nation where you don't get burned at a stake as a witch because your neighbor told the police you congregate with the devil to get better tomatoes than his.

I removed a post. "Do not advocate illegal activities or discuss them with intent to commit them;" includes vigilantism.

We do NOW, anyway. ;-)

(And that's still open for debate)

People often forget that 'Not guilty' is different than 'Innocent'.

Not enough proof.
Still guilty as hell and i cannot say the rest of how i feel

The prosecution has now been exposed for lying about one piece of evidence and failing to correct the record even after their own witness requested to testify again.

And may more forget that the guiding principle of our Judicial system is

INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

So by the law of the land she IS innocent.

Fixed that for you.

Just because I consider you an ass does not mean you are an ass.

Also, I was always told growing up that it was better for a guilty person to go free than for an innocent person to go to prison. Of course, we fail too often on the latter, but I still believe it is a decent goal.

I now fear a spate of reactionary laws. A felony to not report a minor missing within 8 hours? Hope you either a) dont have a teen ager or b) like calling the police alot.

I know when I was a teen, I think dad knew where I was approximately 30-40% of the time.
