So I'm not sure what to do with my Dwarven warrior. He has the hammer Whelm as a legacy weapon and it's main purpose is to be thrown.
He is a Ranger 3/Fighter 1, and we just leveled up to 5th. I plan on him ending up a Ranger 5/Fighter 15. His feats right now are:
1st: Weapon Focus (warhammer)
2nd: Point Blank Shot
3rd: Toughness and Deadly Aim
5th: ???
7th: ???
We are playing the campaign Against the Giants so I will probably take the Big Game Hunter feat. 3.5 books are allowed but I don't have any to reference, so I'm not sure what could be useful from those. My combat tactics have been to move as close as possible for a throw while also drawing attention, than taking 5 foot steps and throwing on my turn.

Complete Warrior has some ridiculous combat feats (mostly underpowered, but generally hilarious). I remember this one time I made a Fighter who was a switch hitter - he used scythes for melee... then used them for ranged. I don't remember if I took Throw Anything or just enchanted then with the ability to be thrown. Either way it made no sense.

Quick Draw is pretty much essential for throwers.
You might seriously consider the barbarian hurler options. They have a feat that lets to get a throw in as part of a charge with is pretty cool.
Ultimate Combat is going to have at least a few thrower focused feats.
Yeah the barbarain rage power works pretty well. And quickdraw is needed to get a full attack.
Great this just reminded me of mounted charge throwing enchanted lance sheniangians as part of a charge through that rage power.

I'll think about Quick Draw. My DM has ruled that I can make full attacks throwing the hammer, but tossing javelins, daggers, and such creates a cool image in my head. The Barbarian stuff doesn't fit my character, so that's out. Is there a wiki page or something similar for the Book of 9 Swords and other material? I thought I read something about a Hurler prestige class.
