1) If I have Improved Trip I perform a Trip maneuver with a whip, does the whip provoke attacks of oppertunity? Remember, attacking with a whip normaly provokes AOOs.
2) If I have Greater Trip and successfully trip someone, does he provoke an attack of oppertunity from me?
1) I would say yes, since its an AoO from the whip and not the trip itself. However, whip has 15 ft reach, so unless the enemy has a 15 ft reach weapon as well, he won't threaten your square and won't get an AoO. Any adjacent enemies (or with reach weapons) to you however might get one.
2) With a whip? No, since whips don't threaten. With another weapon? Yes.
